The others

Princess knitting continues smoothly--I passed border row 177 last night, so I think my projections for finishing the border this month will prove accurate. All that knitting and it's still a bit of fluff that can fit with plenty of breathing room in a gallon-size ziploc bag (embarrassingly, my default knitting project carrier).
Much as I love the Princess, however, I am still distractable by new and shiny things.

For example, I just started the South Seas Stole--firstly, because it's pretty, and secondly because it will give me the opportunity to play with lots of pretty blue silver-lined 8/0 beads. (Yarn is Merino Lace from Heirloom Knitting.)

While not exactly shiny, Filatura di Crosa Superior is ridiculously soft. I found it in a yarn store while visiting my mom over the holidays and remembered the tantalizing review published at Knitter's Review last May. It's now well on its way to becoming a scarf with an unwieldy name from Victorian Lace Today.

Your knitting is beyond beautiful!

Your Princess is breathtaking! And I recognize that yarn for the South Sea shawl, which is also exquisite. Hard to tell what the pink one is, but I am sure it's beautiful. The yarn is certainly lovely. Silk and mohair--my favorite. I just bought a huge cone of it from Sarah's Yarn--it's the same stuff that I have been hauling back from Japan. All white, but I can dye it.

I have been admiring your lacework for sometime now, and I can't hold back any longer. I am an obsessive knitter. I have knitted everything - many difficult things, in fact. But I can't get over my fear of lace knitting enough to try it. How do you turn out so many gorgeous things? How do you keep track of so many intricate twistings and turnings? Do you ever make mistakes, and how on earth do you correct them? I am in awe.

Lovely lace as always. Superior is wonderful stuff. I made a shawl for my LYS and just loved working with it.

So beautiful! You are really making great strides with the Princess Shawl and it looks breathtaking! I wondered when you would break down and start other projects and I must say the South Sea shawl looks wonderful. The Pink one looks good but I'm not sure which it is. Have to go drag out my copy of VLT! Terrific knitting and lovely eye candy :-)
