Instead of studying....

Well, I did study a little over the long weekend. Grudgingly. But I also started the Princess border. (Yes, I decided to go with the 62-point edging--so far, so good!)

I have to admit, 868 stitches per row is a lot. I know that the Wedding Ring Shawl border had more, but I guess the memory has faded already.

The semester is almost over, so I will be free to knit Princess at will for the next month or so. :) Limiting myself to one row per night after class is very painful...

Beautiful! Let us know your calculations for the smaller size!

It's very beautiful! I'm in school mode myself right now, and can't wait until I have a break so I can knit to my heart's content.

Absolutely beautiful!

I was student last year and it's horrible to combine with knitting, so I feel for you. Look forward :) It's absolutely stunningly beautiful, your shawl.

So amazing. Your lace knitting just blows me away and leaves me wanting more. I can't imagine how annoying it must be to be on a diet of only one row a day. Good for you for sticking to it!

Mmmmm.... blue lace... Just gorgeous.

Oooh, are you even going to sleep? Or just knit non-stop??

Posted by: monica at November 28, 2007 04:04 PM

Beautiful!

Will you come back to Weds nights in a few weeks too? 'Cause I miss you. Hope all is well.

868 what???? You are brave!

Posted by: Ola at November 28, 2007 11:22 PM

Oh wow. That is gorgeous. My lace knitting skills are no where close to that level. All I can say is "Wow".

That's really beautiful. I have to prep A.Whole.New.Class for next semester, and all I can think of is "a whole month off to knit".

your lace is sooo lovely! you've inspired me to try something more elaborate than i usually knit. i've acquired some 1 ply shetland supreme with which to knit sharon miller's rosebud shawl. i'm curious as to what type of needles you use for your ethereal wonders.

That is so beautiful! Like a breath of fresh air! So, you went with the smaller number of points? It looks really good so maybe I don't really need to go for the full number either. I'm with fleegle. How is it size wise? Wonderful knitting as usual. You always have such nice stitch definition!

what can one say but "stunning" ***sighs***

Alice, what an exciting project! 868 is alot, but that is what it takes...Just like an alcoholic needs more liquor to get a buzz..... ;-)

The pictures of your lace are so pretty! Maybe that's why you're lace queen, a good camera?!?!? That edging is really gorgeous. 868 stitches of love...

Posted by: Sil at November 30, 2007 07:53 PM

oooh that is so coolly beautiful!

I can't believe how beautiful it is - the colour is perfect and the lace is amazing -- it looks blocked already!
