Cobweb Wrap

Cobweb wrap by Gladys Amedro, aka Gemma Ord. Knit with Heirloom Knitting's Merino Lace on 2.75mm needles. Pattern purchased directly from Jamieson and Smith.

This was a pretty happy, uneventful knitting project--lovely yarn, flawless pattern, no major mishaps. Knitting the top border at the end was boring as hell, but it only lasted a few days.

So, speaking of J&S, has anyone tried their new Shetland Supreme yarn yet? It looks like Heirloom Knitting is stocking it now. My November HK order list is getting longer and longer....

Mouthwatering beautiful! One of my favorites of your finished pieces. The blue is really exquisite in that pattern. I don't think I will ever knit it, but I am very glad you did!

Lovely!
I received a sample of the J&S cobweb Supreme. It is Supreme indeed! I have ordered a cone. It should be here in a few days.

Miss Alice, it's stunning -- and you only started day before yesterday, as far as I can remember.
I need to know about Shetland Supreme...but don't we all hate J&S for dropping so many Fair Isle jumper-weight colours? Do we want to go on buying from them?

Simply lovely! It is a great piece of work. The color is enchanting. I like the shape of it. Congrats on another lovely piece.

Oh how beautiful. I just love your FO pictures. Maybe I need a dressmakers dummy. I have absolutely no way to drape my shawls when they're done and I can never seem to snag a human model or photographer. *hrm*

Oh Alice, how lovely... the blue color is wonderful.
And Heirloom Knitting is carrying Shetland Supreme??? Jeezopete.

Fantastic work! As usual, it is stunning. You always select such great yarn and patterns and your execution is so terrific. And you also appear to knit at warp speed :-) Wonderful.

the dressform really does show off the knitting most fabulously, but i miss getting to see Miss Alice wearing her finished products. you've become the phantom behind the knitting!
the shawl is amazing, and i'm not just saying that because i'm biased by the color. ;)

Wow! Another amazing creation! The blue is very stunning - and apparently a hot color this season.

Gorgeous! I bought this pattern after seeing yours, and I am feeling a little/lot stupid, but I don't know what the British terminology stands for...can you tell me where I might look to get a "translation"....thanks.
