The cobweb wrap has moved very quickly--I just started picking up stitches for the top border last night.

As Laritza noted, this shawl is Faroese-esque (but without any shoulder shaping). I'm really liking this construction and am tossing around a few ideas for creating a shawl in Estonian lace motifs from Ptsilised Koekirjad, based on Myrna Stahman's top-down construction method. We'll see....

It is so beautiful! I can't wait to see it finished. The blue is so bright and lovely.

Oh I love that blue! It's coming along so beautifully. I can't wait to see it in all its glory.

Wow, Alice, that is stunning! I am glad to see my yarn found a happy home!

Your Spring Shawl is a masterpiece. I would like to knit lace garments for myself. I have Meg's "A Gathering of Lace." Do you know of any other books on this subject? Judith - in Canada

Gasping for breath, it's so beautiful.

This shawl is quite beautiful and it sounds really pleasant to knit. The color is fantastic. I would love to see a pattern with Estonian knitting in it. I will cross my fingers.

wow, the colour is fantastic and really emphasises the stitches, it's going to look stunning when done. I look forward to seeing your own design; I have that book and there's some lovely motifs in there....

It's funny how our opinions and experiences on yarns can vary so much... but very fortuitous in this case as I love the blue and the yarn looks perfect for the pattern.

Sigh. That is gorgeous! The yarn is perfect--your stitches look just right, not too open, not too dense.

Mmm...Beautiful lace ! Especially with your yarn colour choices. Truly inspirational ! Where in the world did you obtain the snakey head pins you use to stretch your lace please ?
