Unst: The First Border

The first border of the Unst Stole is complete. I added about 40 rows and two new motifs to lengthen the stole by a few inches.

(One of the new motifs, adapted from a pattern in Heirloom Knitting.)
And now to do it all over again for Border 2!

Oh wow. It's looking so pretty! And your new motif is really neat looking. It looks just like a flower with stem and leaves.

Lovely addition! Are you looking forward to Sharon Miller's new book as much as I am?

Beautiful lace! I don't know where you find the time to be so productive! Your shawls really are heirlooms. I'm waiting with baited breath for Sharon Millers new books, both the one with the Hap Shawls and the second volume of Heirloom Knitting. I don't care how much they cost. They are worth the money. I don't even have to ask if you are interested. It's a no-brainer! I can hardly wait to see how the second boarder comes out!

The "Unst Stole" sounds like a Dr. Seuss title...It's beautiful tho.

Beautiful work. Gossamer weight shawls are so worth the extra effort when finished.

Unbelievable! This is incredible! I have a crocheted lace tablecloth my grandma and great grandma made and it took them two years! Wonderful work!
