Spiders I have loved

Up to row 62 of the first border. Since I'm using gossamer-weight yarn rather than the cobweb yarn the pattern calls for, the stole is turning out to be a little shorter than I'd like lengthwise. So I'm planning to add another repeat of the diamond grid and another tree-like motif.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love the spiders?

I love the spiders, too. they might be my favorite lace-knitting motif so far.

totally amazing. I also love the pattern in your title bar.

Fabulous as usual! I think using the gossamer weight yarn is worth loosing a little bit of length. I also think those spiders look wonderful, awesome, delicate etc. Not enough words really. I think I hear the sound of applause in the background:-)

Your shawl looks lovely, Alice. I aspire to knit it, someday. You might be interested in seeing photos and posts on my blog from my last trip to Shetland. I just returned last week, and as soon as I get all my photos sized, etc., I'll be posting photos of the wonderful shawl by Kathleen Anderson, that has won scads of prizes, including the prestigious Highland Show first prize. Your photos look just as well done. Good knittin' MEM
