Smells awfully pretty, too

The current tatting project is being transformed into a sachet, filled with lavender lovingly handpicked in Portland this summer. (I think the lavender from my own garden would make a doll house-sized item at best.)
I was planning to wake up early this morning to take some pictures of the finished (!) Legends of the Shetland Seas stole.
Those of you who know me in real life are laughing hysterically right now, I imagine.
So the photo shoot will take place this weekend. Why is it that my fabulous photographer friend Roni lives so far away? Sigh.

I wish there was a lot more tatting going around. I really love how it looks. I've only manage a few small patterns...it amazes me when I see the bigger project people make.

Not a morning person, eh? Well, there's something we have in common. I really shouldn't be expected to hold a coherent conversation before 12pm.

I too am not a morning person and I never end up getting "natural" light to take my pictures with. I end up with flash. I can't wait to see the finished "Legends" shawl. I was wanting to ask what yarn you used for "Legends" and for "Spider Queen". I'm planning to do both but "Spider" asks for a US 3 and "Legends" wants US 2. so gossamer weight looks a little too flimsy for those size needles. What, oh knitted lace Queen, did you use? They look so fabulous!

Dear alice,
ESP alert! I just cast-on last night with some Zepher I had lying around onto US 3! Spooky! I have some of ther Merino as well but only in a light sage green and a wimpy pale purple. I think I'll use something else for the "Legends" shawl:) Thanks for the E-mail and the info!

I don't quite know what tatting is but I'm getting curious. I love the colors.

how about a trade? you start knitting Mad's prom dress. i will photograph anything you want! you have plenty of time to get it finished.
seriously, i need to come for a visit anyway. when we get settled in Chattanooga i will have to find a time to head that way.

This looks great and I really like the colours. Talking about lavender, I have some on my balcony but not even near to fill up a third of a teabag :)
