my backtack
I haven't yet heard from my backtack partner, but I assume that the package has made it to Australia by now....
The bag is based on this crafster tutorial.
One of her crafty wishes was to learn crewel embroidery, so I bought a wool and hoop kit and assembled this little binder. The puffy thing on the clasp is a removable wrist pincushion.
Much hot glue was sacrificed in the making of this project.

Oooo.... I love this! The binder is a great idea. And I love those wrist pincushions. They feel like something Mina Loy might have worn, had she had to put up a hem.

Great bag, Alice! And the kit is wonderful, too. Hope you're doing well -- I haven't kept up with people's blogs at all, but I'm making my way back bit by bit.

Hi there! I have to say that i've really enjoyed looking at all the gorgeous back tack projects, but yours is one of my favorites....and totally inspiring. i started a sewing class, and i would really like to learn to make something like this. did you design it yourself, or use a pattern? do you mind if i post pictures of your project to my blog (giving you credit/link for your hard work for course)? great job!!
